I think there are no words to express how much i love this show. At least how i loved this show. It aired from 2001 to 2003. Rest in peace, greatest show who ever existed, rest in peace. This series contained a hopelessly inept crew with a few exceptions.
This darkly humorous cartoon captured Zim: a cruel, narcissistic, and idiotic alien invader sent on a suicidal mission to a faraway planet that isn't supposed to exist. Earth. Dib, the self-announced defender of earth is the only one who notices the new green-skinned, no-eared, eccentric student is an alien. And he cant convince his classmates either, since his whole life was spent advocating the paranormal. A little bit like Boy Who Cried Werewolf. They continuously thwart each others plans often ending in complete disaster as the human race is still oblivious to all that's right in front of their noses. Though most episodes concern their war for planet there are a cesspool of these characters waiting to be discovered. Theres Gaz, the slightly frightening sister of Dib whos obsessed with video games and pigs. She hates her brother and believes that Zim is too dimwitted to conquer the world. Who could forget the hilariously stupid GIR? The robot sidekick to Zim that seems to be the epitomy of stupidity and undoubtedly the crowds favorite. Plus hes cute as hell. It has become a Emmy-Award winning cult classic translated into many languages. I could go on but why should I? That would further the chances of you not getting the collectors boxed set with all the episodes shown on Nickelodeon and more! Or more Zim merchandise from Hot Topic!
